October 1 gives you the year and a coffee order before it gets visual. Key, skate, dash, and bill are not objects in one room. Each one completes BOARD: keyboard, skateboard, dashboard, billboard. The purple row is spelling, not meaning. Kayak, level, rotator, and civic are palindromes. Skate is the decoy if you start looking for sports.
